Mass Power Forward condemns President Trump’s illegal, unauthorized and unprovoked attacks on Iran. The U.S. government has long sought to control and dominate this region in service of its strategic economic, political and military interests in oil, uranium, and other natural resources along with the supply and sale of military weapons and equipment. These policies and actions prioritize profits over people, harming families, communities, the environment and nations and are at odds with our platform principles that stand for supporting the public good, deep democracy, the environment and justice. The cynical exploitation of fear to justify acts of war and distract from disastrous domestic policy is egregious and violates everything we stand for.
We urge members of the MA congressional delegation to do everything in their power to cease military action in the region and to cease the supply of weapons which have been instrumental in the ongoing genocide of Palestinian people. It is crucial to address the illegal unauthorized military incursion and rein in any future acts of military aggression, and prevent continuation on this dangerous and destructive path.
