Contact your Senator for Clean Air and a Mold Task Force

Dear Climate Advocates,

As the Senate debates the climate omnibus, some of our work is still moving forward in other places. We ask you to once again contact your Legislators. Air Quality: Senator Jehlen has filed amendment #119 to the Housing Bond Bill, to be voted on Thursday.  The amendment creates a mold task force to develop a statutory and/or regulatory framework to address identification and remediation of indoor air pollution and indoor mold contamination in publicly and privately owned housing. The task force shall also identify funding sources for implementation of the recommendations. (Sample email below)

Thank you,

The MA EJ Table

Hi Senator ______,

My name is ______ and I live/work in ________. I'm writing to ask you to co-sponsor amendment #119 in the Housing Bond Bill: 119 Air quality for homes (Jehlen)

The task force shall also identify funding sources for implementation of the recommendations.

Massachusetts’ climate is slated to become wetter and warmer- a perfect combination to increase mold in our already aging houses and buildings. It is critical that we direct our attention and resources on this public health issue, especially for our environmental justice populations.

This is important to me because…
